Rear brake calipers only, front brakes for your shifter or DD2, and hand operated front brakes for the more popular European KF categories.
OTK's famed self-adjusting brake systems are made possible withh the advent of magnetic enforced caliper pistons, thus giving the driver the ability to have solid pedal feel along with improved stopping efficiency until the last lap. The self-adjusting system also eliminates the need to use out-dated brake shims, thus improving the functionality of the braking system off the race track.
Nearly all OTK brake systes are equipped with dual piston barking pumps. OTK braking pumps complete the perfected circuit as the calipers are feed the necessary brake fluid through two chamers housed with individual pistons These pumps are noted for their unique added fluid reservoirs along with their dedicated operations to each of the rear calipers pistons (Rear Brake Applications Only).
Lower horsepowered categories such as Mini Rok and junior categories do not require such strong and roboust system. Therefore, this is why the BSM system was created, much like the BS2 system the BSM system is exactly what a driver needs to stop in these categories.

J3 Competition has been partnered with SKF Racing since 2012 providing unparalelled service and product support to the Karting market. Specializing in the distribution of 50mm and 30mm ceramic ConCentra bearings, J3 and SKF also provide leading bearings for engines as well as hub mount bearings.
Overview - SKF patented ConCentra Bearing
The patented ConCentra Solution allows centering of the axle and its rotation, in respect to the bearing center. The bearing has a removable snap shield that allows to easily clean the bearing and re-lubricate it after each use. The patented profile of the outer ring has been designed to avoid the risk of misalignment to the unit support. The bearing is available with ceramic balls that help maintain low friction while reducing the rotating mass and increasing stiffness.
- The unit does not need modifications to the housing/cassette, so it is retrofitable to existing factory designs.
The external patented profile of the Outer Ring SKF Kart Unit has small grooves with sharp edge along them. This particular geometry increases the resistance to the misalignment of the bearing in respect of the cassette when driving the Kart. The SKF geometry allows the bearing to have increased grip inside the aluminium/magnesium cassette, thus reducing movement.
By using ceramic balls it is possible to decrease friction, weight and increase hardness with the result of lower running friction even with little quantity of lubricant.
