Braking Systems
Since 2002, OTK has continually aimed to perfect its brake systems. From non-adjusting all the way to today's self-adjusting systems, OTK has a system that works in every application. Rear brake caliper only, front brakes for your shifter, hand operated front brakes for your KF, no matter the situation OTK offers the right solution.
OTK's famed self-adjusting brake systems were made possible Wwth the advent of magnetic enforced caliper pistons, thus giving today’s Karter the ability to have solid pedal feel along with improved stopping efficiency until the last lap. The self-adjusting system also eliminates the need to use out-dated brake shims, thus improving the functionality of the braking system off the race track.
Paired with the high-potent OTK rear calipers is the OTK dual piston barking pumps. OTK braking pumps complete the perfected circuit. These pumps are noted for their unique added fluid reservoirs along with their dedicated operations to each of the rear calipers pistons (Rear Brake Applications Only).
Now of course, lower horsepowered categories such as Mini Rok and junior categories do not require such strong and roboust system. That is why the MBS system was created, much like the BS2 system the MBS system is exactly what a driver needs to stop in these categories.

BS1 – BS2 Use Non-Silicone High Temperature Brake Fluid (Motul RBF600)
BS3 – BS7 Use Silicone Based Brake Fluid (DOT 5)
Explosion Diagrams
In order to make product and part identification easier, J3 has included explosion diagrams for the entire Vortex engine line along with a full parts catalogue for OTK Kart Parts. J3 Competition understands that not every Karter is an expert on which brake pad, axle, or piston they need, so that’s why we’ve simplified the system – making our customers number one!
With respect to Vortex, all the internal items are number and referenced to a part number and description. Whether you order your parts over the phone, email, or through our new on-line system the assurance you need is there.
The new OTK reference document takes it to another level as all the spare parts are actual digital reference pictures. Following each pictured page is the corresponding part number and description reference.
Setup Information
Arguably the most important part of achieving positive results is to make sure you have the optimal setup on the chassis and engine. Through constant development within J3 Competition’s Race Team the latest solutions to all chassis and engine setups are achieved. Through numerous championships, regional competitions, and testing programs, J3 Competition has proven time and time again the ability to assist its customers with perfect solutions.
Available within this section are setup and knowledge packets on Kosmic Racing Karts, Vortex Engines as well as seat setups.
J3 Competition’s history blankets Cadet, ICA, JICA, ICC/KZ, KF, Rotax and TaG victories and championships, thus enabling you the confidence to join the winning team at J3 Competition.

Tuning Parts
This section focuses on all the available tuning parts, which change the handling characteristics of your Kosmic Racing Kart. Utilizing OTK Kart Parts and J3 products make it possible to increase the handling characteristics, thus enabling the optimal setup to be attained.
We are going to an improved job in 2011 by updating this section with race data sheets new items and solutions the Race Department is utilizing. In an effort to keep you ahead of the competition and the J3 side!
