EKN / J3 [Blog Post #1]

Dear Readership,

I will be departing tomorrow (September 4) to travel to Angerville, France to assist J3 Competition team pilot Alex Guenette at the final round of the 2011 Euro Max Championship.  The official event will begin with practice on Wednesday September 7 and the final will conclude on Sunday September 11.

Angerville Track MapAngerville Track Map Once landed and situated on Monday September 5, I hope to begin updating this blog nightly with our experiences both on and off track accompanied with photos.  In addition to our experiences I will work hard to bring the entire ‘Rotax’ European experience to the fellow competitors and fans, particularly here in North America.

J3 Competition will be running Alex Guenette in France with cooperation from Paul Carr Racing, which is based in England.  Alex will be suited in a familiar 2011 Kosmic Mercury chassis competing in the Junior Max category.  With well over forty drivers entered for the event in the Junior Max category it will definitely be an exciting and extremely competitive event to be a part of.  This event also marks Alex’s first European experience and with the guidance of J3 Competition he is looking to make it a memorable one.

The Euro Max experience will be a great opportunity to draw some parallels between the competition, organization, and technical aspects of this Rotax program vs. Rotax program(s) here in North America.

Until I arrive in France, take care and stop back!

Thanks,
Justin Stefani
