Alex Guenette a solid 4th place finish - Euro Max round #4 France
After a long week of mixed conditions, J3 Competition driver Alex Guenette progessed consistently throughout the fourth round of the Euro Max in Angerville, France to secure a 4th place finish. Aboard familiar material, Alex quickly adapted to not only the new circuit, but the competition and tires to make a solid mark on his first trip across the pond.
Alex spent the event working exclusively with J3 Competition team manager, Justin Stefani. Alex highlighted the timesheets in warmup on Friday with sixth quickest just before timed practice was set to begin. With heat results of 7-12-12, Guenette took to the pre-final in grid 18 (1 point from grid 14). A rain soaked pre-final would prove difficult, yet Guenette would finish in 18th not losing a spot.
"The pre-final was a little difficult as it was our first time on the track in the wet stated Guenette. After the pre-final I had a debrief session with Justin and once we reviewed the correct line and strategy for the final, I felt really comfortable" stated the Guenette.
Once the green flag flew, Guenette went to the inside and was able to navigate through turn in tenth place, by turn two he had picked off a few more drivers and by the end of lap two he was solidly in third place. Alex held thrid place until four laps to g eventually Guenette crossed the stripe in a solid fourth place result!
"The event was really well-run in all aspects and Alex did a fantastic job progressing on his first European experience" stated Justin Stefani. "The result is obviously great for us and Alex, it really shows great progession for Alex and our organization."
